Two Very Different Repairs, Depending on Your Model

This is the part most guides skip, and it matters: DeLonghi services its grinders two different ways depending on the machine line.

La Specialista line (Arte, Prestigio, Maestro — EC9155/EC9355/EC9665): These use a manually-adjustable conical burr set with the upper and lower burrs sold as separate replacement parts. This is the more DIY-friendly repair of the two.

Because the burrs aren't independently serviceable on these ECAM-series machines, this is a swap of the entire grinder unit rather than individual parts.

1. Unplug the machine and remove the bean hopper.
2. Open the service door on the side or front of the machine (varies by exact ECAM model — check your manual for the exact panel, usually held by 2-4 Phillips screws).
