Why Is My Essenza Mini Leaking?

Fix 2: Empty the Trays Every Day

Fix 3: Account for Rinse and Descaling Water

Symptoms: a puddle after first use, after a long break, or after descaling.

• Descaling: the container (at least 1 L) catches the solution. After you exit descaling mode, "Empty the drip base."

Fix 5: Descale on Schedule

The Essenza Mini has no descale light. The manual times it by cups (40 ml) and water hardness:

How to descale:

1. Empty the drip tray, drip base and capsule container. Lift and close the lever to eject any capsule.
2. Add one sachet of Nespresso descaling liquid and fill with water to the 0.6 L line.
3. Place a container of at least 1 L under the outlet.
4. With the machine on, hold Espresso + Lungo for 5 seconds. Both lights blink.
5. Press Lungo until the tank is empty. Run the collected solution through again.
6. Rinse the tank, fill it with fresh water and run it through twice.
7. Exit with Espresso + Lungo for 5 seconds, then empty the drip base.
